Albert Jung, Mayor of the municipality of Kaisersesch and also Chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Network (H2BZ Netzwerk RLP e. V.) based in Kaisersesch, welcomed students from the University of Luxembourg, who visited the hydrogen quarter in Kaisersesch with their lecturers. The group was accompanied by two representatives of the Luxembourg Ministry of Education, Children and Youth as well as employees of Saarländische Wasserstoffagentur GmbH.
Project manager Uwe Diederichs-Seidel from the municipality of Kaisersesch used an presentation to introduce the SmartQuart project, which aims to demonstrate the real-life interaction of renewable energies at three locations. The aim of the project in Kaisersesch is to demonstrate the opportunities of the energy transition for regional value creation with the help of locally produced green hydrogen.
The group of visitors from Luxembourg was impressed by the technical facilities and the interesting presentation, which was given in English by Uwe Diederichs-Seidel.
