All transport sectors, including maritime, aeronautics or land-based, are deploying huge R&D budgets to reduce the carbon footprint of their vehicles. These sectoral efforts can be pooled across sectors to promote economies of scale.
The Walloon Region, and the province of Liège in particular, is a major logistics hub for these 3 types of transport, thanks to Liège freight airport, the autonomous river port and the intersection of the various European highways.
