19.03: 300 participants to our first transnational event in Metz (FR)

The EURES cross-border partnership of the Grande Région and the consortium of the INTERREG Green SKHy project organised a major transnational meeting devoted to the hydrogen sector in the Greater Region:

After the 1st seminar on 17 June 2022, when hydrogen projects were still in their infancy, the Region Grand Est, France Travail, the Union des Entreprises de Moselle and the Afpa Grand Est are joining forces for this second event in conjunction with their German, Belgian, Luxembourg, Dutch and Swiss partners. Some 300 representatives of companies, regional and national public authorities and the academic and vocational training system participated to this event. 


The morning's programme included: 

  • a Masterclass given by Mikaa BLUGEON-MERED, coordinator of the MEDEF International Hydrogen Task Force and lecturer at Sciences Po;
  • a presentation of the DEF'Hy project run by France Hydrogène and the Green SKHy project;
  • a cross-border round-table discussion involving the Saarland Hydrogen Agency (Saarländische Wasserstoffagentur), Grande Region Hydrogen, the Belgian Hydrogen Council and France Hydrogène.

The morning will also see a symbolic handover between the EURES-t Grande Région and the INTERREG Green SKHy project, launched at the beginning of 2024 and dedicated to the hydrogen industry.


In the afternoon, a "Hydrogen Village" brought together around twenty exhibitors. 200 high school and university students from the Grand Est region were to this village to find out about training and careers in the hydrogen industry through educational demonstrations and discussions with industry professionals.
