In collaboration with two other partner universities, the Université de Lorraine and the Université du Luxembourg, the University of Liège organized a winter school dealing with fundamental and practical aspects of hydrogen production and use. 31 students & PhD students from France, Belgium and Luxembourg attended this transnational week.
Special thanks to:
💧 our partner organisations CRM Group, BEBLUE Cryotech SA and John Cockerill for opening their doors to us
💧 Roland Schulze of the European Investment Bank for their contributions
💧 all the professors from the partner universities & Technifutur

Starting with a basic explanation of thermophysical properties, simple conversions are simulated to develop more complex and practical processes. Theory, exercises and practical applications are covered together with a laboratory session to provide a comprehensive understanding of the skills required to work with hydrogen.
At a technological level, topics such as electrolysers, fuel cells, hydrogen combustion and industrial applications are covered to provide a complete understanding of the hydrogen value chain. Advanced aspects such as safety issues and the economics of hydrogen are also covered.
