The Green SKHy project partners recently convened in Belgium for the 14th Steering Committee meeting, bringing together representatives from all 17 partner organizations for two days of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic planning.
The meeting began in Liège, where participants had the opportunity to explore local hydrogen innovation ecosystems through visits to the hydrogen laboratories and research facilities of CRM Group and BEBLUE Cryotech. The programme also included valuable networking opportunities with members of Cluster TWEED, fostering connections between project partners and regional stakeholders.
During the afternoon session at the University of Liège, partners reviewed the progress of Green SKHy activities and discussed upcoming milestones. Special guests enriched the discussions with expert insights on skills development and cross-border cooperation. Charlotte V. from the Benelux Union led an engaging exchange on the recognition of skills across national borders, while Rebecca Grossberg from Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) presented other hydrogen-related initiatives within the programme, highlighting opportunities for collaboration and synergies among projects.
The second day of the Steering Committee was hosted by Technifutur at its Spa-Francorchamps campus. The morning focused on collaborative workshops dedicated to preparing the project's final event, scheduled for 11 December 2026, as well as discussions on the dissemination of project results and future cooperation in the field of hydrogen skills development.
Participants also toured Technifutur’s technical training platforms dedicated to hydrogen mobility. A key highlight was the presentation of the organisation’s hydrogen-focused training offer, including several educational modules developed within the Green SKHy project. The visit showcased pedagogical mock-ups and dismantled vehicles designed to provide learners with practical, hands-on experience in hydrogen technologies.
The two-day meeting demonstrated the strong commitment of all partners to advancing hydrogen skills and supporting the development of a skilled workforce for the energy transition. As the project enters its final phase, partners are already looking ahead to the last in-person Steering Committee, which will take place in Konstanz, Germany.
Green SKHy extends its sincere thanks to all partners and hosts for their active participation and contributions throughout these productive and inspiring two days.
