The University of Luxembourg is pleased to host the international conference “Ramping-Up EU H₂ Economy”, organized within the framework of the Green SKHy, Green Deal en Grande Région, and LuxHyVal Hydrogen Valley initiatives. The event is held in cooperation with the Ministère de l'Économie - Luxembourg,, CSDD, the Saarländische Wasserstoggagentur, and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Taking place on 13 July 2026 at the Campus Kirchberg in Luxembourg, the conference will bring together experts from industry, academia, policymaking, and finance to discuss the latest developments and future opportunities in Europe’s hydrogen economy.
The program will address key topics across the hydrogen value chain, including infrastructure development, hydrogen applications in the steel industry, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), sustainable aviation fuels (e-SAF), naturally occurring “white hydrogen,” social acceptance, and hydrogen auction mechanisms.


In addition, participants will explore policy frameworks, market developments, investment strategies, and the role of hydrogen in supporting Europe’s energy transition and decarbonisation objectives. The conference aims to foster collaboration among stakeholders and provide valuable insights into scaling up the European hydrogen economy.
