Kolping Bildung Deutschland gGmbH, in collaboration with win – Dein Wirtschaftsnetzwerk Saar e.V. and Saarbahn, hosted a hydrogen acculturation workshop in Saarbrücken as part of the Green SKHy initiative – a transnational project dedicated to developing hydrogen-related skills.
The event aimed to move beyond the current “hydrogen hype” and foster a more grounded understanding of how hydrogen technologies are applied in real-world settings. By bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, the initiative underlined the importance of knowledge exchange and cross-border cooperation in accelerating the adoption of hydrogen solutions.
A central highlight of the day was the visit to Saarbahn’s hydrogen infrastructure. Participants gained first-hand insights into existing applications, including refuelling systems that enable buses to be refuelled in around 10 minutes while achieving ranges of up to approximately 350 kilometres.
