The Green SKHy – A Transnational Initiative for Hydrogen Skills project participated in the first PACT-H2 Stakeholder Exchange Board, organised by the Saarländische Wasserstoffagentur in cooperation with Hy.MAT and Hy.Con.
The event brought together key stakeholders from across the hydrogen ecosystem to exchange knowledge and discuss strategies for strengthening the hydrogen economy in the Greater Region. During the meeting, the Green SKHy partnership presented the project's objectives and ongoing activities, highlighting its contribution to developing the skills and competencies required for the successful deployment of hydrogen technologies.

Discussions focused on raising awareness of hydrogen-related career opportunities, fostering cross-border cooperation, and ensuring that education and training systems are aligned with the evolving needs of the hydrogen sector. These exchanges reinforced the importance of collaborative approaches to building a skilled workforce capable of supporting the development, implementation, and scaling of hydrogen projects.
As part of the programme, participants visited the construction site of the Power4Steel project at SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar, one of the region's flagship industrial decarbonisation initiatives. Dr. Michael Bott provided an overview of the project, presenting its objectives, technological approach, and the current status of implementation.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Saarland's Minister for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digital Affairs and Energy, Jürgen Barke, who emphasised the strategic role of hydrogen in Saarland's industrial transformation and outlined the region's priorities for accelerating the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy.

Green SKHy is pleased to contribute to this growing network of stakeholders and looks forward to continuing the exchange of knowledge and best practices to support the hydrogen transition across the Greater Region.
