A technical visit took place in Schwäbisch Gmünd, organised by the Trinationale Wasserstoff Initiative 3H₂, bringing together 27 participants from industry, academia, and public institutions.

The visit focused on Lhyfe’s hydrogen production site, currently the largest commercial facility for renewable hydrogen in Germany, with an installed capacity of 10 MW. The site is part of the broader H2-Aspen project, which aims to foster the development of a regional hydrogen ecosystem supporting both industrial and mobility applications in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

With a production capacity of up to 4 tonnes of renewable hydrogen per day, infrastructure of this kind plays a crucial role in advancing the decarbonisation of heavy-duty transport and industrial processes.
